Privacy Policy
This policy explains how personal information is handled when you visit Fork or use its software and services.

1. Who we are and what this covers
Fork is a service of Pickaxe Inc. (“Fork,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy covers personal information we collect through fork.site, related websites, accounts, workspaces, and services. When we process information on behalf of a business customer in its workspace or application, that customer may control the information and its own privacy notice and agreement with us may also apply. If you are an end user of a customer’s application, contact that customer first about its use of your information.
2. Information we collect
- Information you provide: name, email address, account details, messages to us, project and billing information, and content you submit through Fork, including files, prompts, code, and AI inputs and outputs.
- Information from your use: IP address, device and browser details, log and diagnostic data, pages visited, features used, and approximate location inferred from your IP address.
- Information from connections: information you authorize us to receive from identity providers, integrations, or third party services connected to your workspace.
- Payment information: payment and transaction details. Payment card data may be handled by a payment provider rather than stored by Fork.
We use cookies and similar technologies for sign in, security, site functionality, analytics, and marketing. Our public website currently uses a Meta Pixel for advertising measurement; Meta and other providers may receive browser and device information when those tools load. You can manage cookies through your browser and any choices offered on the site.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to provide and maintain Fork; authenticate users; run workspaces, AI features, and integrations; respond to requests; process transactions; measure and improve the service; communicate about products; detect abuse and security incidents; and meet legal obligations. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, these activities may rely on performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance with law, or your consent for optional activities that require it.
Prompts, files, and other content may be sent to the AI or integration providers needed for a feature you use. Their handling of that data may depend on the provider, your configuration, and any applicable customer agreement.
4. Who can access or receive information
We may disclose information to hosting, authentication, payment, email, analytics, advertising, AI, and other service providers that help us operate Fork; to integrations you enable; and to workspace owners or administrators according to their access permissions. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, sale, or similar business transaction. We do not publish private workspace content merely because it is stored in Fork.
5. International processing
Fork and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from those where you live. If a customer agreement requires a specific location or transfer mechanism, that agreement controls. A UK or EU storage location is not implied by use of Fork.
6. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, satisfy an applicable agreement, maintain security and records, resolve disputes, or comply with law. Retention depends on the kind of information, the workspace settings, and legal requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it, subject to backup cycles and legal holds.
7. Your choices and rights
You may be able to review or update account information within Fork, manage workspace access, unsubscribe from marketing email, or adjust browser cookie settings. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection, and to withdraw consent where processing depends on it. You may complain to a relevant data protection authority. To make a request, email hello@fork.site. We may need to verify your identity. For information controlled by a customer, we may direct you to that customer.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls and secure transmission. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please tell us promptly if you believe an account or workspace has been compromised.
9. Children
Fork is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact hello@fork.site so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
10. Other websites and services
Links and integrations may take you to services that Fork does not control. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their own services. We encourage you to review them before connecting an account or sharing information.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as our services or practices change. We will post the new version here with its updated date and provide additional notice when required by law.
12. Contact
